Buncombe County -- December 9, 2023: NC Medicaid Expansion is here, and Buncombe County is ready to answer your questions and help you apply.
Buncombe County Health and Human Services is hosting a Medicaid Expansion Kickoff event featuring Managed Care Partners on Tuesday, December 12 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the East Asheville Library at 3 Avon Road in Asheville.
Join us to learn how you may be eligible for NC Medicaid, and get doctor visits, yearly check-ups, emergency care, dental care, mental health, and more – all at little or no cost.
At this event, participants will get their questions about NC Medicaid answered. The event features brief presentations from the North Carolina Enrollment Broker and the NC Medicaid Ombudsman. There will also be a Q&A.
Information will include Medicaid health coverage and its benefits, who is now eligible for the expansion, details on different coverage options, how to apply, and more.
This event is open to everyone, whether you want to apply for Medicaid or just want to learn more.
This is a great opportunity to apply or get your application started as Health and Human Services staff and Appalachian Mountain Community Health Centers staff will be there to answer questions and assist with online applications.
Spanish interpreting will be available.
