McDowell County -- January 1, 2023: Michael Dean Ogle, 32 faces charges of felonious Larceny of a Motor Vehicle and 2 counts of felonious Possession of a Stolen Motor Vehicle.

Ogle was issued a $100,000 secured bond.


According to the McDowell County Sheriff's Office, on July 28th when deputies responded to a Marion residence for an abandoned vehicle. Upon checking the license plate, the vehicle was determined to be stolen out of Swannanoa.

On August 9th, deputies responded to the theft of a different vehicle from an Old Fort residence.
Evidence in both investigations led to warrants being obtained for Ogle. 

Ogle was located and apprehended by deputies on December 8th.
