Asheville -- September 23, 2021: Asheville Police reported the arrest of a man now jailed on a $20,000 bond.

Jason Adam Granberry is charged with common law robbery.

The robbery occured at First Citizen's Bank 108 Patton Avenue in Asheville. Police report a man entered the bank ar 3:30 p.m. He left with an undisclosed amount of money after threatening the teller with the use of a weapon.

He was able to get away before police were on the scene.

#UPDATE: The man has been identified as Jason Adam Granberry. He has been charged and arrested with common law robbery. He is in jail on a $20,000 bond.

At 3:31 p.m. a man walked into First Citizen’s Bank (108 Patton Avenue) and demanded money from the teller threatening the use of a weapon. He left before officer’s arrived with an undisclosed amount of money.
