Asheville, NC (Jan. 20, 2022): Asheville Police arrested a man engaged in suspected drug trafficking in a local housing

complex Wednesday as they combat gun violence and drug dealing in the City of Asheville.

APD Detectives and Officers teamed with the Dept. of Public Safety to investigate reports of gun violence in the Hillcrest Apartments Wednesday when they arrested a man on drug and gun charges who was a felon in possession of a pistol along with suspected fentanyl, crack cocaine, and MDMA (Ecstasy).
They arrested Robert Louis Boseman (5/17/1988), of Asheville, and charged him with the following:
Possession of a Firearm by a Felon
Trafficking in Fentanyl by Transport
Trafficking in Fentanyl by Possession
Possession with Intent to Sell or Distribute Schedule II (2 counts)
Felony Possession of Schedule I
Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
Officers also seized:
Glock 43X pistol (9mm)
5.85g of fentanyl
2.34g of crack cocaine
7 pills of MDMA (Ecstasy)
Boseman was booked into the Buncombe County Detention Center and released on a $60,000 secure bond.
