Asheville Police Arrest Man on Saturday for Assualting a Woman

Asheville -- March 1, 2022: Asheville Police took a man into custody Saturday.

On the morning of February 26, a woman was hit in the head with a metal object at a downtown business on N. Ann Street. The assailant, Todd Xavier Ragin, was arrested today by Asheville Police Department and charged with Assault to Inflict Serious Injury.

According to APD, the victim was treated by EMS at the scene that day but did not go to the hospital. She described Ragin as wearing a blue jacket and black pants.

Ragin is being held at Buncombe County Detention Center on a $3,500 secured bond.
