Asheville -- March 7, 2022: On March 16, 2022, officers and detectives from the Asheville Police Department

arrested a suspect who was in possession of a stolen firearm, crack cocaine, and wanted in a recent hit-and-run
vehicle collision.

Dominique Tirrell Degree was taken into custody near Ledgewood Village Apartments in east Asheville around 5:30 p.m. March 16 and faces the following charges:

Possession of Firearm by Felon
Possession of Stolen Firearm
Reckless Driving
Hit & Run
Seized:
Charter Arms revolver (.32 magnum) *reported stolen in Georgia*
4.93 grams of crack cocaine
$612
Degree was transported to the Buncombe County Detention Center for booking, with a secured bond of $8,500.
APD detectives are continuing their investigation.
