Asheville -- March 31, 2022: Asheville Police posted on social media today to thank the public for their help in

a shop lifting case.  A man has been identified as the shoplifter who stole a $1,000 plasma cutter last month, thanks to tips from the public.

“Once again, we appreciate the public’s support in providing tips to help us in our investigations,” said Chief David Zack, Asheville Police Department. “Whether a homicide case or one involving larceny, having the public partner with APD with information makes a difference in helping our detectives and patrol officers. Thanks – and keep it up. Tips work!”
