Haywood and Henderson Counties Offer 2nd COVID-19 Booster Shots

WNC -- April 5, 2022: The CDC and FDA gave approval for the second COVID-19 booster shots for specific groups of people.

The Haywood County Health Department located in Clyde is making appointments   Call 828-452-6675 to make an appointment.

Henderson County Department of Public Health is online fpr appointment scheduling  here

The following are now eligible for a second Pfizer or Moderna COVID-19 booster shot:

Those 50 or older and got your first booster shot at least four months ago
Those 12 or older and have a compromised immune system and got your first booster at least four months ago
Those who received a total of two shots of the Johnson & Johnson vaccine at least four months ago.
