How to resolve AdBlock issue? 
Asheville -- April 14, 2022 : Asheville Police are seeking the public's assistance in identifying a truck driver who hit a motorbike and fled the scene. The driver of the moped was thrown from it and taken to the hospital with several critical injuries.
At 10:27 p.m. on April 6, a moped driver was heading east on NC-146 (Long Shoals Road) near the junction of CP & L Drive (in front of Ingles). The perpetrator, who was driving a truck, collided with the motorbike and then ran over it, according to witnesses, before fleeing the scene. According to witnesses, he went eastbound on Long Shoals Road.
The moped driver, a 39-year-old man, was taken to Mission Hospital in serious condition and placed on life support, but he is now stable.
The suspect was driving a late-model red/burgundy pickup vehicle, potentially with a higher suspension, according to witnesses at the scene.
