Buncombe County Sheriffs Make Arrest in Homicide Investigation

Buncombe County -- May 26, 2022: The Buncombe County Sheriff's Office has charged Quentin Dana Bashaw with the murder of Charles Radcliffe following an ongoing investigation. 

Since September 2021, when postmortem reports determined that Radcliffe died in his house in Leicester as a consequence of blunt force trauma, detectives have been looking into his death.

Bashaw was taken into custody yesterday in Wilmington and is pending extradition to Buncombe County for trial. “The collaboration of our Criminal Investigation Unit and the Wilmington Police Department, New Hanover Sheriff’s Office, Novant Company Police and the United States Marshals Service Regional Taskforce was essential in locating Bashaw. We are thankful for their assistance in this investigation and apprehension,” says Sheriff Quentin Miller.
