Asheville Police Arrest Man in Stabbing Incident

Asheville -- June 14, 2022L Around 4 p.m. Sunday, Asheville Police Department detectives charged a man with stabbing a man on S. French Broad Ave. near Aston Park.

For stabbing the victim with a kitchen knife, Joseph A. Beaire (10/02/1975) was charged with Assault with a Deadly Weapon Inflicting Serious Injury. With serious, but not life-threatening injuries, the victim was sent to Mission Hospital. Beaire was also taken to the hospital after suffering injuries in the event, which appear to be non-life threatening.

Detectives with the Criminal Investigations Division are continuing their investigation.
