In counties in Western North Carolina ,thousands of children are in foster care and require a loving home. Due to a lack of foster parents, the majority of sibling groups are divided and placed in separate homes,

frequently in different parts of the state. The H3 Collective attempts to answer this need by providing foster children with safe homes where house parents care for sibling groupings, so providing the children with the safety, stability, and security they require to flourish.

H3 is now seeking House Parents in Buncombe County who feel called to offer foster care for children. House Parents play a crucial role in helping H3C achieve its purpose, and they get substantial assistance in their tasks. H3C households are intended for up to five children. Each home receives individualized wrap-around care, and in order to make the care of vulnerable children more viable, H3C homes are rent-free. H3C seeks out couples who are:

Licensed by or is willing to be licensed by Buncombe County Foster Program
Buncombe County Foster Parent Training Courses start July 7th and October 4th.Learn more at here

Married with no dependent children of their own living in the home
One parent must be willing to not work outside the home
H3C understands that caring for the needs of kids can be a challenging task. Their model is uniquely designed to help make foster care more sustainable for those willing to step into this role. Their commitment to House Parents includes:

Housing - affordable housing that is suitable for caring for several kids is a challenge, so H3C homes are offered to House Parents at no cost.
Support – H3C provides wrap-around care that is tailor-fit to the needs of each home. This care can include childcare, home maintenance, meals, etc.
Resources - each kid comes with specific needs and H3C is committed to helping provide for those needs.
