Asheville -- July 15, 2022: The Blue Ridge Parkway near Asheville is being searched for 20-year-old Gabriel Focaracci, who was reported missing on June 24.

According to Asheville police, Focaracci has not reported to work since June 24. On June 26, he was going to attend a performance with friends, but he never showed up.

Rochelle Focaracci was distributing flyers with photographs of her missing son.

Volunteers are searching any possible paths he may have traveled.

 Andrew Pressley, deputy director at McDowell Emergency Management stated, “Very rocky terrain,”  “A lot of ridges. A lot of steep terrain. A lot of valleys.”
