How to resolve AdBlock issue? 
Asheville -- August 22, 2022: The Asheville Police Department is looking into several gunshots that happened late on Saturday night close to the 550 block of College Street.
There were no reported injuries or property damage as a result of the incident.
Several shots were heard being fired soon before midnight on August 20 according to witnesses. At 11:53 p.m., shots were fired, and a doorbell camera only captured the audio of them. This was followed by a van driving away.

Since January 1, 2022, the Asheville Police Department responded to 336 calls for service reporting shots fired or someone being shot. There have been 28 people shot in Asheville this year and a total of 434 shell casings were recovered.
