How to resolve AdBlock issue? 
Macon County -- Septmber 18, 2023: On Wednesday, the MCSO/FPD Narcotics unit tried to do a regular traffic stop, but the driver wouldn't pull over and ran away.
A car with three people in it went very fast through an area where construction was going on. Law enforcement went after the car, which went onto school property and then drove off the road and through a local golf course, making golfers run away. Once the driver got to Golf View Drive, an MCSO detective tried to use "Stop Sticks" to stop the car from running away. To avoid the stop sticks, the car made a quick left turn into the yard of a nearby house and hit a tree. The car's driver got out of the car and tried to run away, but an MCSO Detective caught him quickly. Two other people in the car were also taken into custody.
Adam Sackman of Franklin was taken into custody and is being charged with many things, including having a gun while being a convicted felon. Sackman had a loaded handgun and a lot of fentanyl and methamphetamine. Sackman has been charged with multiple counts of trafficking heroin/Fentanyl and methamphetamine. Possession of drugs within 1000 feet of a school, possession of drugs, trying to get away from police, and other charges. There are still more traffic charges to come, such as driving without a tag and driving carelessly.
Adriana Garcilita, who lives in Franklin, was also arrested on drug charges, including having Methamphetamine on her. Garcilita is facing more charges because he brought drugs into a jail. This was discovered after officers did a more thorough search of the jail. This week, Garcilita was served with more warrants for not going to court.
Both Sackman and Garcilita are still being kept in jail in Macon County. The bond for Sackman is $4.2 million, and the bond for Garcilita is $100,000.
A third passenger was let go because she didn't have anything illegal on her.
Sheriff Holland says, "There is a procedure we have to follow, but the wheels of justice move very slowly." Both of these people have shown in the past that they are dangerous to our community and deserve long prison terms."
