Asheville -- April 18, 2022: Asheville Police are seeking the public's assistance in identifying two suspects who broke into several automobiles in the south Asheville neighborhood around a week ago. At 10 a.m. on April 9, APD officers arrived to the 100-block of Julian Shoals Road to investigate allegations of five vehicles being broken into earlier that morning.

Asheville  -- April 14, 2022 : Asheville Police are seeking the public's assistance in identifying a truck driver who hit a motorbike and fled the scene. The driver of the moped was thrown from it and taken to the hospital with several critical injuries.

News -- April 13, 2022: Mark Meadows, President Donald Trump's former chief of staff, has been removed from North Carolina's voter registration list after papers revealed he lived in Virginia and voted in that state's election in 2021,
officials said Wednesday. Macon County Board of Elections removed Meadows' registration from the county voter rolls

Asheville -- April 13, 2022:   The Asheville Police Department is investigating a shooting fatality that occurred shortly before midnight Tuesday in a west Asheville area. Around 11:30 p.m., APD officers were summoned to the 300 block of Fairfax Ave., Tuesday night where they discovered Lamichael Shawn Carter, 27, deceased in the street.

Haywood County -- April 13, 2022: Haywood County Sheriff's Office announced in a news release on Tuesday that officers saw a late model Ford flatbed heading westbound on I-40 on April 2nd, towing an ATV that was not properly fastened. During the traffic stop, deputies discovered 264.5 grams of methamphetamine, 3.7 grams of fentanyl, and numerous narcotics paraphernalia in the vehicle.
